House Visit Policies
At Craig’s Canines, I aim to keep visits smooth, predictable, and stress-free — for both you and your pets.
These policies help ensure I can give every client reliable, on-time service.
Late Add-On Policy
Occasionally, clients may need to add a last-minute request —
whether it's an additional visit, administering medication, or an extra pet added on.
While I always do my best to accommodate, same-day changes can impact my schedule and route planning.
The following policy outlines late add-on fees to ensure fairness and clarity for everyone.
What Qualifies as a “Late Add-On”?
A late add-on refers to any request made with less than 24 hours' notice before a scheduled house visit. This includes:
Requesting an additional 15-minute visit
Asking me to stay longer than the usual visit
Including additional pets not previously mentioned
Late Add-On Fee Schedule:
$5 – Request made 12–24 hours before the scheduled visit
$10 – Request made 2–12 hours before the visit
$15 – Request made under 2 hours before the visit
Fees apply per occurrence and are in addition to the base rate for your scheduled visit.
Availability Notice
While I will make every effort to accommodate your request, late add-ons are subject to availability
and may not always be possible, depending on location and the day’s schedule.
Why This Policy Exists
Adding last-minute changes can affect travel time, other scheduled visits, and service quality.
These fees help account for the added coordination and ensure continued reliability for all clients.
Cancellation Policy
Plans can change, and I understand that. However, cancellations made too close to the visit time can leave gaps I’m unable to fill.
Free Cancellation Window:
Visits canceled 12 or more hours in advance — No charge
Late Cancellation Fees:
12–24 hours before — Charged 50% of the visit fee
Under 12 hours before — Charged 100% of the visit fee
No-show or cancellation upon arrival — Charged 100% of the visit fee plus a travel surcharge

Last-minute changes and cancellations affect not only my schedule but also other clients who may need that time.
These policies help ensure that I can provide consistent, dependable service for everyone.
