House Visit Policies

At Craig's Canines, I aim to keep visits: smooth, predictable, and stress-free for both you and your pets.

These policies help ensure I can give every client reliable, on-time service.

Late add-on policy

Occasionally, clients may need to add a last-minute request, whether it's: an additional visit, administering medication, or an extra pet.

While I always do my best to accommodate, same-day changes can impact my schedule and route planning.

A late add-on is any request made with less than 24 hours' notice before a house visit.

This includes:

  • Requesting an additional 15-minutes

  • Asking to stay longer than average

  • Including additional pets not previously mentioned

Late add-on fee schedule:

  • $5 — Request made 12–24 hours before the scheduled visit

  • $10 — Request made 2–12 hours before the scheduled the visit

  • $15 — Request made under 2 hours before the scheduled visit

Fees apply per occurrence and are in addition to your base rate.

Late add-ons are subject to availability and may not always be possible depending on location and the day's schedule.

Medication policy

Craig's Canines can administer oral medications and topical treatments during house visits.

Please ensure all medications are in their original labeled container with clear written instructions left accessible in the home.

Craig's Canines is not certified to administer injections of any kind, including insulin.

Pets requiring injection-based medication cannot be accommodated at this time.

If you have questions about whether your pet's medication can be administered during a visit, please reach out before booking.

Pet behavior & safety

Craig's Canines reserves the right to contact you if a pet displays extreme aggression or poses a safety risk during a visit.

In the rare case that a pet becomes unmanageable and you are unreachable, Craig's Canines reserves the right
to end the visit early.

We strongly encourage all clients to remain reachable during scheduled visit times.

Cancellation policy

Plans can change, and I understand that. However, cancellations made too close to the visit time leave gaps I'm unable to fill.

  • Canceled 24 or more hours in advance
    — No charge

  • Canceled 12–24 hours before
    — 50% of the visit fee

  • Canceled under 12 hours before
    — 100% of the visit fee

Last-minute changes and cancellations affect not only my schedule but also other clients who may need that time.

These policies help ensure I can provide consistent, dependable service for everyone.
