Dog Boarding Policies

At Craig's Canines, I want your dog's stay to feel like a home away from home — safe, happy, and stress-free for both of you.
These simple policies help keep things running smoothly so every pup gets the best care possible.

Reservations made within 48 hours of the scheduled drop-off date will incur a $25 convenience fee.

This fee helps cover the additional time, scheduling, and preparation required to accommodate last-minute requests.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage early booking to guarantee your pet's spot.

Health & parasite policy

All pets must arrive in good health and free from any parasites. If a pet arrives showing signs of: illness, fleas, ticks,
or other parasites that were not disclosed prior to drop-off, Craig's Canines reserves the right to turn them away.

This policy exists to protect the health and safety of all animals in our care.

If you suspect your pet may not be feeling well leading up to their stay, please reach out before drop-off so we can discuss options.

Medication policy

Craig's Canines can administer oral medications, topical treatments, and similar non-invasive medications during your pet's stay.

Please bring all medications in their original labeled container with clear written instructions.

Please note Craig's Canines is not certified to administer injections, including insulin.

Pets requiring injection-based medication cannot be accommodated at this time.
Clients in this situation should consult their veterinarian about alternatives.

Illness & injury policy

If your pet becomes ill or injured during their stay, we will make every effort to contact you immediately.

If you and your emergency contact are both unreachable, by signing the boarding contract at drop-off,
you give Craig's Canines permission to contact your listed veterinarian on your behalf.

Aggression policy

Craig's Canines reserves the right to contact you if extreme aggression becomes a concern during your pet's stay.

In the rare case that behavior poses a safety risk and you are unreachable or unwilling to make arrangements,
Craig's Canines reserves the right to surrender the pet to the local animal shelter.

We strongly encourage all clients to remain reachable during their pet's stay.

Personal belongings

Clients are welcome to bring items from home such as food, toys, blankets, and dog beds to help your pet feel comfortable.

Please note that Craig's Canines is not responsible for any items that become lost or damaged during their stay.

Bedding and fabric items must be washed before drop-off to prevent the potential transfer of parasites, bacteria, or other contaminants to our facility.
